He is preceded in death by his Mother, Virginia J Baxter.  He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Beverly June Baxter, son James T. Baxter, Father Melburn J. Baxter, step-daughters: Tawna H. Jim served as Director on the  Imperial Bird Club's Board for several years.  He was also Parliamentarian.

Jim was an Engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation for 30 + years.  He was eligible to retire but wanted to work 3 more years.

Several at the memorial service spoke of how Jim was always laughing and friendly with everyone.  June said that he liked to think he knew it all about birds although she did all the work.

Jim you will be missed.
